Hoopers Bay Villas

Hoopers Bay Villas boasts fully furnished, air-conditioned two bedroom, two bathroom, cottages, with ceiling fans in every room. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other two twin beds. The cottage comes fully equipped with all linen and bedding, bath towels, and beach towels<BR><BR>The cottages have a full service kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. The kitchen has a full supply of kitchen utensils, including coffee maker, toaster, and electric grill. There is a dining area with seating for four.<BR><BR>The living room has comfortable seating with cable television, and a DVD player. There are also games and books for your enjoyment.<BR><BR>The cottage has a front porch with comfy beach chairs and there is a back semi-private porch which opens out to a courtyard area. The back porch has a table and chairs for backyard enjoyment. There are also outdoor showers for your convenience!<BR><BR>Hoopers Bay Villas are centrally located on Great Exuma, just ten minutes from Exuma's International Airport, and three miles from the capital, Georgetown. There is a well-stocked food store and pharmacy within walking distance. Restuarants are just minutes away. <BR><BR>The beach at Hoopers Bay is secluded, and easily accessible. Other great beaches are only minutes away by car.

Getting There

The Islands of the Bahamas are located just off the south east coast of Florida. International flights connect direct to Exuma via Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Nassau, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Atlanta. <BR><BR>HISTORY<BR><BR>The Exuma islands are a string of islands and cays with natural harbors and beaches that span over a hundred miles of clear blue water. There is a new island for every day of the year. The Exuma chain comprises of 365 cays, that stretch for about 130 miles.<BR><BR>Exuma is home to the National Land and Sea Park, which is one of the largest underwater and land preserves in the world. Exuma is a nature lover's paradise and is kept in its original pristine setting.<BR><BR>Exuma's capital, Georgetown was once suggested to be the capital of The Bahamas because of its Elizabeth Harbour, which has a draft of 16 feet and made Exuma a favourite haunt for pirates (Scenes from Priates of the Caribbean were filmed in Exuma). Since the 1950s, the harbour has been the site of the Family Island Regatta -– the race of Bahamian-made sailboats. <BR><BR>Popular historical sites include the remains of the plantations at Williams Town, the ancient tombs at Rolle Town and at Moss Town.
